The Dutch team Dutch Wave has won the open Dutch Match Racing Championship after a blistering final. The winning team consisted of Jelmer van Beek (22, Groningen), Rob Sprij (26, Schiedam) and Wietse Pijlman (24, Groningen).

Skipper Jelmer van Beek is happy: “This is a nice reward after a year of hard work. Last year this event was the start of Team Dutch Wave. Now we are a year further in which we became German and Dutch champions, among other things. We are a solid team. Sailing with these guys is always a pleasure. Even when we fall behind, there is always trust in each other and we know we will come back.”
