Profesional sailor
I can be hired as a sailor during competitions. My specialty is mainly at the ‘back’ of the boat: (mainsail) trim, tactics and steering.
Speaker
I would like to share my knowledge about sailing. Not only sailing technically but also about the lessons of the sport. There is no time-out in a sailing regatta. 24/7 you are looking for the best result with the team.
Onto the water!
Interested in a sailing clinic on the water? For example as a company outing? This can be done in several ways. I work together with various parties for this.

My early years
My early years
When I was 8 years old my parents bought a summer house on the Paterswoldsemeer. I made my first meters in a boat under the smoke of Groningen. Sailing, surfing, canoeing, everything I did during the holidays and weekends at the lake.
I liked sailing the most and soon I was sailing competitions in the Optimist. Two-time North Dutch Champion was the highlight of this beautiful time.
This was followed by the laser class where I participated in the top sailing academy of the water sports association in Scheveningen and sailed many international competitions.

Team Dutch Wave
After sailing one-man boats for more than 10 years, at the age of 19 in 2014 I got the chance to become a skipper of a Dutch training team. The Team Heiner Talents. For three years we sailed all competitions on and around the North Sea with this team of 10 sailors. An educational time.
When the training was over, I started our own team with my best sailing friends. Team Dutch Wave. Aimed at the match racing discipline where you sail one-on-one. A 10th place in the world ranking and several titles were the highlight.

In 2019 I started sailing on The Ocean Race boat, the former Team Brunel. In 2021 I sailed as a co-skipper with the team against 6 other VO65 the European Variant of the Ocean Race.
