Sailor Jelmer van Beek (24) won the Warren Jones Regatta this year. He is ninth in the world ranking with his team Dutch Wave. The Ocean Race will start in two years’ time: “So every choice has to be in the right direction now.”

The Dutch team Dutch Wave has won the open Dutch Match Racing Championship after a blistering final. The winning team consisted of Jelmer van Beek (22, Groningen), Rob Sprij (26, Schiedam) and Wietse Pijlman (24, Groningen).
